Eau Claire Chapter
SPEBSQSA

NEWS FLASH -- check out our upcoming ANNUAL SHOW 11/4/2000!

...or reminisce about our 1999 annual show (including some online photos from the show!)

This is the home page for the Eau Claire, Wisconsin chapter of SPEBSQSA (Society for the Preservation and Ecouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America). The Eau Claire chapter is part of the Land O' Lakes District.

The Eau Claire chapter is a 501(c)3 charitable and educational organization. It welcomes into membership all men of good character who like to sing! Even if you can't read music, you are encouraged to attend a chorus rehearsal to give it a try. Learning tapes are usually available to help you learn your part.

The Chapter is comprised of several different performing groups, including the Diplomats of Harmony chorus, the Midnite Watchmen and CHIPS quartets, and other unregistered local quartets. (The Favorite Sons also entertained Eau Claire audiences for years, but disbanded in late 2000.) The most famous group to come out of the Eau Claire chapter is the Four Teens, 1952 International Quartet Champions.

In addition to small performances around town, the Chapter puts on at least one big annual show in the fall each year. The next big show is November 4, 2000 at the State Theater in Eau Claire. (See the 2000 show page for details.)
