HarmonyWorks Quartet

1985 LOL District Champions

Left to right:
Bill Wigg, Tenor
Mel Eliason, Bass
Dave Nyberg, Baritone
Dean Haagenson, Lead

Known for their exceptional blend and down-home style, HarmonyWorks has entertained audiences throughout the Upper Midwest and Canada for over twenty years.

Their unique combination of folk, gospel, swing and barbershop favorites has established them as one of the premiere quartets of The Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America, Inc. (SPEBSQSA).

As 1985 Champions of The Land O' Lakes District, the foursome has made 12 consecutive appearances on the International contest stage, with seven Top-20 semi-finalist finishes to their credit. In addition, HarmonyWorks has made numerous radio and television appearances in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, including KSTP-TV's Good Company, WCCO-TV's Moore on Sunday, The Ruth Koscielak Show and The Dan Hertsgaard Show on WCCO-AM, and Mid-Morning on Minnesota Public Radio. In 1988, they served as national "spokes-moo'ers" for Kemps Ice Cream's, "Sound of Moooosic" promotion ... having an udderly good time!

HarmonyWorks has had the good fortune over the past six years of adding to their extended quartet family by way of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Minnesota, an organization committed to helping children and their families cope with life-threatening illnesses. Whether visiting their favorite celebrity or traveling to the wonderland of Disney World, the children and families benefited by Make-A-Wish embody the belief that each of us can go to wherever our dreams may reach. Through the hard work and dedication of many wonderful friends, the annual HarmonyWorks Open Charity Golf Tournament has raised over $116,000 since 1991 for the dream-making work of The Make-A-Wish Foundation.
