An annual Labor Day Weekend event in Bolton Landing, New York, on the shores of Lake George, this is always a fantastic weekend of shows. Besides the shows, it includes a "come-one-come-all" quartet contest thrown in as one of the activities, along with a treasure hunt and a quartet challenge: sing at every store on the main street of town! The shows themselves are legendary, and bring back some of the all-time great quartets, re-united just for the fun they have at this affair. The quartet contest is one song, and includes registered men's, women's, and mixed quartets as well as last minute pickup quartets. Often there are over 50 quartets entered. Last year another MHBQA quartet took first, Quadlibet.

MHBQA quartet Up All Night, from Connecticut, won this year's Bolton Landing quartet contest! This quartet is a new member of MHBQA, formed by former individual MHBQA member Glenn Ballard. He writes that they "won after only six rehearsals!" They are tenor Ruth Berman, lead/bari Cheryl Brusket, bari/lead Glenn Ballard, and bass Tom Matcheson.

Coming in 5th in that same contest was another MHBQA quartet, the P's & Q's from Massachussets (Linda Quesnel, Brooke Packevicz, Chuck Packevicz and John Quesnel.) This is a huge contest, with all-male and all-female quartets as well as mixed, so it is quite a feat to have two MHBQA quartets in the top five! Congratulations to both Up All Night and P's & Q's.
