DivorceCare groups meet weekly for 13 weeks, providing an ongoing "Support Team" dealing with the issues surrounding separation or divorce. There are two parts to each weekly DivorceCare session. During the first 30-40 minutes of the meeting, the group watches a videotape featuring top experts on divorce and recovery topics. The DivorceCare videos cover topics essential to recovery from the hurt of separation or divorce. The videos are produced in a compelling television magazine format and features on-location video and real life stories of people who have experienced divorce. The weekly topics include: 1. What's Happening to Me? 2. The Road to Healing/Finding Help 3. Facing Your Anger 4. Facing Your Depression 5. Facing Your Loneliness 6. What Does the Owner's Manual Say? 7. New Relationships 8. Following the video, participants spend time as a "support group," discussing what was presented on that week's videotape and what is going on in the lives of the group participants.
