On Thursday, April 17, 2008, the finals were held of the Chippewa Falls
YMCA
Racquetball Tournament. It was a round-robin tournament for a month,
with the top two players of each bracket going to the finals. All matches
counted toward the standings of the
Chippewa Falls racquetball ladder.
Congratulations to Kent Vandehaar, the "old guy" who won it all. Kent beat Russ Bowe for the "AA" championship, while Chris Hasneberg beat James Kirchen for the "A" title.
In the "B" bracket, Mike Pavelski edged out Kevin Stelljes (11-9 in the tiebraker!), while it was Randy Duss over Tim Marion for the "C" championship. A doubles bracket was also held again this year; Mike Wiseman and David Flood beat Chris Hasenberg and Jake Slaby Wednesday night for the doubles trophy.
