On Monday and Tuesday, April 14 & 15, 2008, we took our oldest son
Ben to orientation at the
U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
The USAFA is an amazing place! We used to live near Colorado
Springs, but had never seen the campus area before. This time our
parents' tour got to see the dorms, library, class rooms, and dining hall.
The class sizes are quite small, even for freshman -- often only 15
students per class!
As a
Scoutmaster,
I really like the fact that they feed FOUR
THOUSAND (4000) cadets all in one room, in only 15 minutes! ;-)
We also got to hear from two generals, boot camp instructors, student leaders, and many others. It was a great program and well worth our time. Anyway, here are some pictures I took with my Panasonic FZ50. Enjoy, - Tom Arneberg (toma@arneberg.com) Unique visitors: |
