On Saturday, September 12, 2009, the
U.S. Air Force Academy
played football against the University of Minnesota for the
first time ever. It was also the very first game in the new TCF
stadium.
Several families from the USAFA Parents' Club of Minnesota gathered at the Darrel & Linda Tamosuinas home in Wayzata Saturday morning to meet General Gould, the Superintendent of the Academy, before we enjoyed a beautiful night for an outdoor football game on campus. (Thanks to Darrell & Linda for their gracious hospitality, and to Bob Peplin for organizing the ticket sales!) (P.S. -- a few months ago I had read this article in the Minneapolis Tribune about the Tansuinsas' three daughters, but never thought I'd get to meet them, let alone visit their house.)
